This past week marked what was probably the most prominent announcement since the $2.5 billion Mars Curiosity Rover touched down on the Red Planet August 5th.

Soil samples by the Curiosity may have yielded a significant discovery on Mars, something many prognosticators believe might be signs of life.

Earlier this month (November 9th) SAM analyzed what was called “good data” of soil samples in the Mars Rocknest region. Nothing as of yet has been ...

The Stargate Universe famously introduced us to Stargates, portals that created wormholes allowing for quick travel throughout space.

Now China may be following in their footsteps…

$16 million (hundred million RMB) and roughly 3,000 tons of steel are being used to build the “Ring of Life” in Fushun, Liaoning Province. It stands at 157 meters high, has four elevators, and 12,000 LED Lights.

A new endeavor (no pun intended) is aiming to build the USS Enterprise within the next 20 years. The project is the brainchild of systems and electrical engineer “BTE – Dan”.

The specs of the real life (or modern) enterprise are as follows:

“The real ship” would include a magnetically suspended gravity fly wheel to help propel its 55 million pound frame. Its main engine and reactor power would be 1.5 gigawatts respectively and would allow the ...

It has defined a large portion of my waking moments. Of all the millions of thoughts our brains produce in a day, Space has consumed a steady portion of them. Some years more, some years less.

When I was born, our family had a house in San Fransisco and a ranch in the hilly valleys of Sonoma County, the future wine country of Northern California. For the first few years we commuted on the weekends. I saw TV as
